Dunstanburgh Castle Striking a Sheep Pose in Black and White

The wild roaming sheep just couldn't help but strike a pose for me.
'This is our Castle buddy, take a picture then move along please!'

It's a walk I've been meaning to do for many many years. Setting off from Craster after exploring the harbour then head North with this beautiful ruin of a castle sitting in the distance enticing you in. It's perhaps not as majestic as Bamburgh Castle further up the coast but there's something about the remoteness and the ruins that is really appealing. I love the fact that you can only get to admire Dunstanburgh's full beauty by walking or cycling and that has it's own magic appeal.

Living close to the beautiful beaches here in the North East of England, I’m often found wandering along them with my camera at the ready. This series presents some of my best beach photos collected over the years.
